George E. Kassabaum

George E. Kassabaum, FAIA, (died 1982) served as national president of the AIA in 1968-69, and as chancellor of the College of Fellows of the AIA in 1977-78. He also served on numerous design award juries, and actively participated in his local AIA chapter. Kassabaum was recognized nationally for his system of cost analysis and controls, and for his concern about providing quality architectural services to clients. He was an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and La Sociedad de Arquitectos Mexicanos, and was named Missouri's Architect of the Year in 1978. He received a bachelor's degree in architecture from Washington University in 1947.
