After graduating in landscape architecture from the Agricultural University of Norway she worked in a practice in Gjøvik for three years. In 1993-1994 she had scholarships to study in Los Angeles in the landscape architecture master’s program and at the Art Department of Cal Poly Pomona. In 1995 she joined the Snøhetta firm, where she has been in management since 1999, and Vice Managing Director since 2000.
